Amongst them:  was the Turkish Ambassador, who was introduced to them by Lord Palmerston, the British Ambassador in Paris and the Emperor of Russia. They supplied many of Britain's stately homes including Audley End, Essex; Burton Constable, Yorkshire; Hampton Court, Leominster; Hopetoun House, Lothian; Panshanger, Hertfordshire; Stafford House, London; Wynyard Park, Co.Durham and Broughton Hall, Yorkshire, to name but a few.
