A large and impressive 19th century rosewood writing slope with brass inlay. The top with shaped engraved cartouche with matching lock escutcheon, with brass edging all around the top and corners, opening to reveal a newly fitted skiver with gilt and embossed tooling. Beneath the top writing board is a concealed panel with opens to reveal three secret drawers.
