A substantial and impressive late Georgian rosewood and brass inlaid writing slo

A very substantial and impressive late Georgian rosewood and brass inlaid writing slope. Substantial brass edges and equally substantial brass line inlay with corner motifs to the top and front. Shaped engraving plate with initials, matching escutcheon plate and working lock and key. Flush campaign handles either side. 

Inside a black sheepskin gilt embossed skiver, a pair of brass topped inkwells, pen tray and nib holder. Beneath the top writing board is a concealed panel that opens to reveal three secret drawers with turned bone knobs. This secret panel is far more difficult to open than standard and instruction on accessing the drawers will be offered to the buyer.
